What is Haunted Encounters?

Haunted Encounters is a paranormal investigation company bringing you exciting and unforgettable nights exploring some of the UK's most intriguing haunted locations. Whether you're a seasoned paranormal investigator or completely new to the world of the unexplained, our events are designed for everyone.

Do I need any previous paranormal investigation experience?

Absolutely not!  Our events are suitable for beginners and experienced investigators alike. Our team will guide you throughout the investigation and explain how to use the equipment and techniques.

What happens on a Haunted Encounters event?

Each investigation is different depending on the location. You can expect a mixture of paranormal investigation sessions, experiments, vigils, communication sessions and opportunities to explore the history and reported activity of the location.

And who knows… you might experience something that you simply can't explain. 

What time do events start and finish?

Start and finish times vary depending on the event. Full details of events are on our website and will also be included in your event information.

For overnight investigations, please check the individual event listing for the exact arrival and departure times.

How much are tickets?

Ticket prices vary depending on the location and type of event. The price will always be clearly displayed when booking.

How do I book a ticket?

Currently, you can only pay by bank transfer.  When you have made the payment to our bank account, please email us at hauntedencounters@outlook.com and confirm which event you're booking on (plus the date), your name and your telephone number.

Your booking will only be confirmed once payment has been received.

How do I pay?

At present, Haunted Encounters only accepts payment by bank transfer. Our bank details are on the homepage.

When is my booking confirmed?

Your place is confirmed once we have received your payment and have sent you confirmation.

Can I book multiple tickets?

Yes! You can book multiple places for the same event, subject to availability.  We keep our webpage up-to-date with availability.

Can I bring a friend?

Of course! 👻 Just make sure they have a valid ticket for the event. 

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing:

• Comfortable clothing

• Suitable footwear

• Warm layers

• A torch

• Spare batteries or a power bank

• Any personal medication you normally require

• An open mind! 

Specific requirements may vary between locations, so always check your event information before attending.

Will paranormal investigation equipment be provided?

Yes.  Equipment is provided, our team explain how it works and will show you how to use it.

You're also welcome to bring your own equipment, but please consult with us on when you can use it.

Are Haunted Encounters events suitable for everyone?

Our investigations can involve darkness, confined spaces, uneven floors, loud or unexpected noises and potentially challenging environments.

Please check the individual event information before booking. If you have any accessibility requirements or concerns, contact us before booking and we'll do our best to help.

Can I attend if I'm nervous?

Of course! Many people attend their first investigation feeling nervous.

You will never be expected to do anything you're uncomfortable with. Our team will be there throughout the event, and you can always step away from an investigation session if you need to.

Are the locations genuinely haunted?

We investigate locations with reported histories of paranormal activity and unexplained experiences.

We don't promise that you'll encounter a ghost — paranormal investigation is about exploring, investigating and making your own mind up about what you experience.

Can I take photographs and videos?

Generally, yes, although some locations may have restrictions. Please follow any instructions given by the Haunted Encounters team or the venue.

Please also respect other guests and do not film or photograph anyone who doesn't wish to be recorded.

Can I cancel my booking?

We have no no refund policy.   

What happens if an event is cancelled or postponed?

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or postpone an investigation, we will contact all affected ticket holders with information about the available options.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Ticket transfers may be possible depending on the event. Please contact us before the event if you need to transfer your place to another person.

What if I haven't received my confirmation?

If you've made your payment but haven't received confirmation, please check your spam folder first, then contact us. Have your payment details and booking name available so we can check your booking.

What happens if I arrive late?

Please check your event information for the arrival time. Some locations may have strict access requirements, so late arrival may not always be possible.

If you think you're going to be late, contact us as soon as possible.

Is there accommodation?

Accommodation arrangements vary from event to event. Please check the individual event listing for details.

For overnight investigations, please pay particular attention to what is and isn't included in your ticket.

Can I bring alcohol?

Alcohol should not be brought onto or consumed before or during Haunted Encounters investigations.

Please follow the Haunted Encounter terms and conditions at all times.

Do Haunted Encounters guarantee paranormal activity?

No! 

We investigate reported paranormal locations with an open mind. What happens during an investigation is completely unpredictable.

Sometimes you might experience something incredible.

Sometimes you might experience absolutely nothing.

That's part of the mystery.
